cell phone camera update

Desiree had a mini violin recital during parent teacher conferences on Wednesday night.

Chipped my tooth at work on Thursday, while eating a chip.
Funny, not.
I have cried and panicked over it all weekend.
We have not received our dental coverage card yet so, I will have to wait for a week or so with a redneck looking tooth.
It is funny, but please don't say anything to me.... I hate dentist's

Hailey's cast was loose so Bob took her back to the DR.
He pulled it off and moved her back to a splint.
5 days for a $500 cast....

Today is my birthday.



One plus of having so many kids, I have a collection of number candles.



Bob took me & the whole family out to eat to celebrate. It was a fun dinner filled with laughter.

broken bones

But on the topic of broken bones....

Hailey has one.



I got the dreaded phone call while I was at work, from the elementary school secretary. During the loud lunch rush at the high school were I work, she said, "Hailey fell at recess and hurt her rib's." HUH? I could not hear her but that she was ok and just wanted me to know. I told her I'd call her back after lunch when I could hear her .

After lunch, I called her back and found out it was her wrist. She said it was swollen and they had put ice on it. After work I went to get her and heard the whole story. A nameless girl pushed her to hard across the new zip line.


Hailey flew, flipped off, and landed on her left arm. The nameless girl lied and said she did not push Hailey.

I looked her arm over, squished it,and she did not even flinch. It was a little swollen but she hardly even cried. She just put her chair on her desk and I took her home. She could move her wrist so I thought she just sprained it. Within an hour she was in pain.

Long story short, she has a buckle fracture on her left arm. It is in a splint tell Tuesday when she will get a cast for 4 weeks.



Hailey and the nameless girl that pushed her butt heads a lot and are know for not getting along. The nameless girl is a bully.

The nameless girl will be getting in trouble Monday morning.

Good Morning

I have been yearning to be creative again.
I have not made a digital scrapbook page in months & months.
I whipped this one out in 5 min.
I love uplifting quotes, religious or not.

In a few weeks I will be making corsages, boutonnieres,
and a wedding bouquet for my nephew and his fiance
wedding day.

Their wedding colors for the reception are turquoise & brown.
I love turquoise and here are some inspiration pictures I have found on the web.




She wants me to dye some flowers turquoise, but I am nervous they might bleed dye & stain her dress.

I need to find this here in town or order it asap.

Halloween 2009

This year we recycled costumes from years past.
(I was not in the sewing mood)



Plus my kids are getting to old to trick or treat.



Brittany had to be a witch for the 4th year. I made the mistake of putting colored hairspray on her hair. NEVER do that again. Yesterday she looked like an umpa lumpa. Her face is still a little red this morning.... 3 days later.



Desiree borrowed something from the neighbors.
My mom made Hailey's skirt for one of my sister's in the 80's.



Devin got a new mask but put it together with his jail bird outfit from last year.

Whitney was in 2nd/3rd grade split class and she will never forget that Halloween. I did not know that after 1st grade you did not wear your costumes the whole day of school. When she got to school she was the only one dressed up and had to wear it all day.

My neighbor has a dvd recorder and I really would like one.
Yesterday, I took over an old vhs camcorder tape and she burned to to a dvd. The little movie above is from it. Ten month old twins, my two sister's, one ex husband, Whitney, Brittany's back, Bob's voice, and mine too.... yelling at Whitney at the end
Now, if there was such a thing to convert the old school 70's 8mm movie reels...
I told my dad this summer that would be a cool Christmas present, our family movies on dvd's.
